Sarah Hardcastle is the Shire Hall Manager and works in The Shire Hall Office (for opening hours see 'contact us'.) For enquiries about hiring the hall you need to speak with her either by going into the office or on the phone on (01430) 432510.

How Much Does it Cost?

Hiring costs for the Shire Hall are outlined below.

PRICES FROM JANUARY 2010:

Regular Users (Peak times are Mon-Fri from 5pm and weekends)
£13.50/Hour off-peak for either hall
£14.00/Hour on-peak Lower Hall
£14.50/Hour on-peak Upper Hall



GENERAL USE
Either Hall:
Charity or Community Use - £16/Hour Lower Hall
£18/Hour Upper Hall

Commercial Use - £25/Hour

Meeting Room (tea and coffee) £12/Hour

Whole Building Hire - £30/Hour

Setting-Up/Clearing-Up: If we set the Hall out for you/clean-up then the full hourly rate will be charged for this applicable time. If the hirer takes responsibility then half the hourly rate will apply.

How Do I Know if the Date is Free?

By contacting Sarah at the office she will let you know if the date you are looking for is free

Are There Any Other Charges?

Howden Live own the lighting and sound equipment and the piano. There is a £10 hire charge for the light or sound hire and a £15 hire charge for the piano. This helps to cover the costs of maintenance for this equipment. There is an additional cost if you wish to use the cinema equipment. There is also a fee of £30 if you require the use of the raked-seating.
If you require the office to sell tickets for your event you will be charged at 5% of each ticket sold
